Training in Circus Arts Education
A professional and human learning experience.

The Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles offers training designed specifically for Circus Arts teachers and enthusiasts. Through 1300 hours, from September to August, the pedagogical and artistic training combines practice, theory, individual and collective creations. 


The program includes:

  • Technical training (600 hours). Acrobatics (dynamic, static and carried ), juggling and diabolo, aerial (silks and trapeze), balance (tight rope, balancing ball, stilts, rola bola, unicycle), performance, dance, movement and rhythm, musical awareness, games and creative research.
     
  • Theoretical training (110 hours). Methodology and didactics, group facilitation techniques and creativity.
     
  • Autonomy (150 hours). Independent training and assessment preparation
     
  • Internships (170 hours). Implementation of the learnt technical, methodological and didactical notions in the context of the activities organised by the Brussels Circus School.
     
  • Seminars (30 hours).  Introduction to fields close to the circus arts : New Games, Veronica Sherborne’s method, conflict management, first aid, etc.


The École de Cirque de Bruxelles, 40 years of expertise in pedagogy in Europe. Established in 1981, the Circus School of Brussels has always used the circus arts as a tool for personal development, through physical activity, expression and creativity, through play and performance.   
 
Job placement guarantee : 360 students have completed the Training in Circus Arts Education. 87 % are working in the circus sector and 43% have founded their own organization.
